This improvised “duet” between dancer and filmmaker was located on the roof of a 19th century industrial building in center-city Philadelphia. The work was originally shot in 2016; I recently edited the footage to capture my feelings in this time of pandemic——anxious waiting, frustrating confinement, yielding to things I can’t control.

Summer is a series of improvisational studies done days after the sudden collapsed building 2013 at 22nd and Market Streets. My interventions investigate ways of finding new life in found objects, and the sound of what is left from the abrupt departure of the building and those who passed away. This event opened up my current artistic investigation.

My Body in Your Hands is an improvisation with Marion Ramirez in 2008. We worked with filmmaker Bohdana Smyrnova at 100 Grand-SoHo- New York.
